Pupils and parents joined in a journey of discovery. Through movement, drama, storytelling and dance, our seven year olds successfully developed their language, alongside useful skills which they could transfer to other areas of the curriculum. Ian's respect for the children raised the self-esteem of every member of the class. They truly worked together to prove to him(and themselves)that they were able to display their journey of learning. Could learning really be such fun? Ian showed talent, charisma and kindness in abundance consequently everyone loved him and wanted to work hard for him! Staff and children alike thought the end of term project was absolutely brilliant! We're so glad that you're working with us again,so soon.

I cannot speak highly enough of the service provided by Puppet Tree Community Arts. Ian organised a wonderful activity day for a group of 30 people of mixed ages and with only limited mutual acquaintance. Ian and his technical assistant undertook very effective prior publicity with our church organisation here in Ross on Wye, arrived after a preparatory visit fully equipped and ready to follow an agreed theme. He was excellent in involving all ages in a corporate activity and then led a fun and thought packed day of film making, puppet presentation and community activity. Really first rate in every respect.

I asked Puppet Tree Community Arts to run a series of 'play in a day' community drama workshops at venues around the diocese of Hereford. They went out under the title OneDayToDoIt and were themed around different periods in the history of Hereford Cathedral. They were one of a range of learning activities organised as part of the Heritage Lottery Funded renovation of the cathedral close. I needed Puppet Tree to work very independently, finding and booking their own venues, advertising for participants, providing the participants with background historical information via a dedicated website, and sourcing their own costumes and props. The feedback from participants has been tremendous, and I am thoroughly pleased with the way this project has gone!

I will definitely be booking Ian again as he really inspired all the children and staff with his storytelling! Church Lench CE First School spent an amazing day with him, where he told stories which were suitable for 5 to 10 year olds.

Ian was kind enough to visit our Early Years setting at the start of 2011. I had worked with Ian in another school and knew his talent for music and storytelling! The children in our setting had chosen the topic of 'The wonderful World of Books'and so it seemed the natural choice to contact Ian again.
Ian came in and shared some stories with the children who were captivated by his performances, then the children working with Ian, made their own story and worked together to make a big book version to keep in the classroom.
The children all enjoyed Ian's visit and I would recommend his skills to any Primary setting!!

Puppet Tree Community Arts came to our church in Ludlow and spent a most happy day putting together a performance on the post war era. They were highly creative and great fun-the children had an outstanding time. They went out into the market and interviewed the local stall holders and got them involved in the project.
While preparing for the event Ian Craigan was professional and very helpful. We would highly recommend them.
